"A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman. But the search to find that voice can be remarkably difficult." Melinda Gates March 8th has come to be known as International Women’s Day. Over the past month, I have read many articles that asked varying...
Sonderous Journeys: Sena – A Living Picture of Cambodia
“If writers just sit and talk about oppression, they are not going to do much writing.” ~ V. S. Naipaul I started this series with a look at my pro-life involvement which began in 1995. Usually when one hears the term pro-life, it is only equated with the issue of...
Sonderous Journeys: Jane Roe
I prayed often for deliverance from the pain caused by my decision to abort my baby. I suffered the threat of cervical and breast cancer and experienced the pain of empty arms after the baby was gone. And truly, for me, and countless abortive mothers, nothing on earth...
Sonderous Journeys: Those that Bring Deliverance
"The first step on the way to victory is to recognize the enemy." ~ Corrie Ten Boom I was saved in July of 1995. By January of 1996, I was fully involved in prolife ministry – namely Operation Rescue (or what came to be known as Operation Save America). My early...

Creative Wonder
“Use those talents you have. You will make it. You will give joy to the world. Take this tip from nature: The woods would be a very silent place if no birds sang except those who sang best.” ~ Bernard Meltzer This ends our series on the Creative Personality. I thought...
Creative Pathways
I think art, especially literature, has the particular power to immerse the viewer or reader into another world. This is especially powerful in literature when a reader lives the experience of the characters. So, if the characters are human and real enough, then...
Creative Disruption
“I was trying to make something really hard, but then I thought I should make something really soft instead, that could be molded into different shapes. That was how I came up with the first plastic. I called it Bakelite.” ~ Leo Baekeland I read an interesting...

Podcast
I was honored to be a guest on Mike and Cynthia Savage’s podcast entitled A Savage Perspective. To gain perspective on what a mission’s trip into South East Asia looks like, listen to my interview with my former professor and his wife. He also asks me some pointed questions on what it is like as a woman called into Evangelism/Missions.
Books for Southeast Asian Children
Last time in Cambodia, we visited a village school where 800 children attend. Pastor Dara works with the teachers so that they might be able to present the gospel to these children. Pastor Dara is planting a church in the village. This school is isolated in that there is not much outside influence. As a matter of fact, we were the first westerners to visit the village. One of Pastor Dara’s dreams is to create a library for these children of English books with a Biblical worldview. With that in mind, we will be donating towards the establishment of school libraries in Southeast Asian villages where we have pastoral relationships. If you would like to donate toward books or the shipping fees, you may donate here. If you would like to know more, please email at info@kristeneodell.com.
