Helping Kingdom-Minded Writers Find Their Voice

We writers are a unique breed. We typically have a heart full of passion and a desire to use our gift for the betterment of others. My goal is to form a group of Kingdom-minded writers that encourage one another, pray for one another, promote one another, and serve Jesus together. I offer myself as a writing coach for those who know they are called to write Kingdom-minded material but need an encouraging voice to see their project through. I will also offer writing retreats as missions trips. What could God do with a company of writers committed to bringing change through their creative gift?

Missionary

I am involved in mission’s work within predominately Buddhist nations; Thailand and Cambodia to be specific. Southeast Asia definitely has my heart.

Writing Coach

Whether you are writing a research paper, blog content, or the book that lives within your soul, my job is to help you bring to life your best writing capabilities.  As a kingdom-minded writer, I will help you be grounded in truth, but unhindered in creativity.

Ghostwriter

I specialize in Pentecostal theology or revival oriented books, as well as personal memoirs that are a testimony to the power of the Gospel. I am open to other projects. Feel free to email me to discuss your ideas and determine availability.

Speaker

I am available to speak at a wide variety of events. I believe in the gifts of the Spirit and the power of prayer. I have an encouraging message to those who struggle to find their place in ministry.

Missionary

Southeast Asia is a fascinating place. The people are warm and inviting. The food is spicy and unique. The scenery is breathtaking. Buddhism is the predominate mindset with Christianity being less than 1%, but the church is vibrant and alive. Their worship is full of passion and joy. And their hearts are pure gold.

Podcast

I was honored to be a guest on Mike and Cynthia Savage’s podcast entitled A Savage Perspective. To gain perspective on what a mission’s trip into South East Asia looks like, listen to my interview with my former professor and his wife. He also asks me some pointed questions on what it is like as a woman called into Evangelism/Missions.

Books for Southeast Asian Children

Last time in Cambodia, we visited a village school where 800 children attend. Pastor Dara works with the teachers so that they might be able to present the gospel to these children. Pastor Dara is planting a church in the village. This school is isolated in that there is not much outside influence. As a matter of fact, we were the first westerners to visit the village. One of Pastor Dara’s dreams is to create a library for these children of English books with a Biblical worldview. With that in mind, we will be donating towards the establishment of school libraries in Southeast Asian villages where we have pastoral relationships. If you would like to donate toward books or the shipping fees, you may donate here. If you would like to know more, please email at info@kristeneodell.com.

What could God do with a company of writers who were committed to bringing change to those in need through using their creative gift? Your gift matters! Your compassionate heart and your God-given creativity can be joined together to make a difference. I would love to hear your ideas and pray with you.

Writing Coach

What Is A Writing Coach?

There are actually many skillful writers who enjoy teaching or guiding others through the creative process. We all come to the table offering our unique skill set. Your job, when seeking out a coach, is to determine your real need.

A writing coach can be highly beneficial no matter your skill level. Creative inspiration takes wings when brainstorming with another person. We as writers tend to have our general premise, but we need other voices to show us where we are not connecting the proverbial dots. Writing can be a long, tedious, lonely process, but a writing coach may just be the encouraging voice needed to help you persevere to the end.

Who Needs A Writing Coach?

How To Get Started?

I offer one free 30-minute phone consultation to assess your need and formulate a working plan. This will help you determine if I am the right coach for you. There is no obligation attached to this consultation. As far as sessions go, if you are local, we can meet in person. Or thankfully, we can utilize Skype to connect from almost anywhere.

About Me

I am a Kingdom-minded person. That means I understand God is working in every sphere of influence within the world he created. Father has many assignments for his children in the workplace, the marketplace, and through creative ideas that bring light into darkened places. I believe that Father is wanting to unleash a wave of creativity that will compassionately meet the deep need that we see around the world – both at home and abroad. Creativity takes on many forms – entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, scientists, etc… My goal is to form a group of Kingdom-minded writers that encourage one another, pray for one another, promote one another, and serve Jesus together. I offer myself as a writing coach for those who know they are called to write Kingdom-minded material but need an encouraging voice to see their project through.

I will offer writing retreats as mission’s trips into the South East Asian countries in which I am involved. Kristene O’Dell is a rare breed of writers. She draws readers in with a unique gift set and is unafraid to use her painfully raw story of personal redemption to point others to healing. I have also seen her dig deep in personal crises to wring out truth for others to glean from. She is an ardent student of the Word with a powerful study habit. All of this is filtered through a strong prophetic insight which is grounded in a stellar prayer life.

O’Dell’s writings are communicative without coming across as talky; engaging without droning on; smart without being over one’s head. I can not overemphasize how important these things are to readers. They want to relate. They NEED to relate. Her writings are definitely relatable; usable; shareable.

I have served as her family’s pastor for several years and was honored to have her on staff for a season. Our office definitely misses her cheery countenance, fun sense of humor, hearty laugh and excellent writing/editing.

I could not recommend a person higher. She does not disappoint.

I have known Kristene O’Dell for several years and was honored to have her in our pioneering group of students at SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary. Not only is Kristene creative, confident, dependable, patient, and meticulous, she does everything with excellence! I watched as she graduated top in her class. She mentored several young ladies, led outreaches, and carries an innate ability to lead. She is driven by passion to help others succeed, and to fulfill God’s purposes in her life. I highly recommend Kristene O’Dell for any writing/editing you may need.
