Unmasking Chronic Stress Related Illness

Unmasking Chronic Stress Related Illness

About 20 years ago, I walked into the Environmental Health Center of Dallas and took a seat in the waiting room. Barely able to sit up in the chair because of extreme fatigue and pain that radiated throughout my entire body, I looked around and took note of the people...

Living Put Together, Upright, and Whole

“For the person with creative potential there is no wholeness except in using it.”  ― Robert K. Greenleaf     It was raining, so I didn’t walk. I also didn’t make my protein smoothie for breakfast. Instead, I made pancakes. They were made from spelt flour, but they...

In the midst of life uncertainties, it’s vital that we find an anchor that can help ground us,
especially at those times when life feels as if it’s spiraling out of control. The answer is prayer,
and it’s something we should be doing consistently if we want to view ourselves and life in
general through a positive lens. Today, Luke Murray of Council of Neighbors, which strives to

Kingdom Flexibilty

Flexibility: pliant; yielding to influence; characterized by a ready capability to adapt to new, different, or changing requirements. Two of my granddaughters found a clothespin lying on my dresser. They are 6 and 7 years old, and the ensuing conversation they had...

Prayers of Ascent: Psalm 123

The picture is of a servant standing in the corner of the dining hall watching for the slightest hand motion of his master. This attentive servant would act the instant he saw any gesture that indicated a need. But, our writer isn’t waiting on tables, he is the one needing attention. What is it that he needs? –mercy.

Podcast

I was honored to be a guest on Mike and Cynthia Savage’s podcast entitled A Savage Perspective. To gain perspective on what a mission’s trip into South East Asia looks like, listen to my interview with my former professor and his wife. He also asks me some pointed questions on what it is like as a woman called into Evangelism/Missions.

Books for Southeast Asian Children

Last time in Cambodia, we visited a village school where 800 children attend. Pastor Dara works with the teachers so that they might be able to present the gospel to these children. Pastor Dara is planting a church in the village. This school is isolated in that there is not much outside influence. As a matter of fact, we were the first westerners to visit the village. One of Pastor Dara’s dreams is to create a library for these children of English books with a Biblical worldview. With that in mind, we will be donating towards the establishment of school libraries in Southeast Asian villages where we have pastoral relationships. If you would like to donate toward books or the shipping fees, you may donate here. If you would like to know more, please email at info@kristeneodell.com.
